Anti-RFP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the RFP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TRIM27 gene, which encodes tripartite motif containing 27. This protein is known to function in innate immune responses and autophagy pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of RFP has a canonical amino acid length of 513 residues and a protein mass of 58.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as RNF76.
