Anti-Interleukin 17A antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IL17A in humans. The Interleukin 17A protein has a reported amino acid length of 155 and an expected mass of 17.5 kDa. The protein may also be known as IL17, IL-17, Interleukin 17, CTLA-8, CTLA8, and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen 8. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
