Anti-Transferrin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene TF in humans. The gene may also be known as Serotransferrin, HEL-S-71p, PRO1557, PRO2086, TFQTL1, and beta-1 metal-binding globulin. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 77.1 kilodaltons in mass. The TF marker can be used to identify Brain Oligodendrocyte Precursor Cells and Brain Oligodendrocytes.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
