Anti-Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PARP1 in humans. The gene may also be known as poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase family, member 1, PARP-1, PPOL, PARP, poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase 1, and ADPRT. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 113.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
