Anti-GATA binding protein 4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene GATA4 in humans. The gene may also be known as ASD2, TOF, TACHD, VSD1, transcription factor GATA-4, and GATA-binding factor 4. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 44.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
