Anti-Uncoupling protein 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene UCP1 in humans. The gene may also be known as UCP, SLC25A7, mitochondrial brown fat uncoupling protein 1, and solute carrier family 25 member 7. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 33 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
