Anti-c-Src antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target c-Src is a known alias name of the protein SRC proto-oncogene, non-receptor tyrosine kinase, encoded by the SRC gene in humans. This 536-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell adhesion and the cell cycle, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated, myristoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for c-Src include ASV, ASV, and SRC1. Western Blot is the most common application for the c-Src antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
