Anti-Glutamate dehydrogenase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene GLUD1 in humans. The gene may also be known as GDH1, GLUD, GDH, glutamate dehydrogenase 1, mitochondrial, and epididymis secretory sperm binding protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 61.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
