Anti-SREBF chaperone antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SCAP in humans. The gene may also be known as sterol regulatory element-binding protein cleavage-activating protein, and SREBP cleavage-activating protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 139.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
