LDLR flow cytometry antibodies are immunological tools used to detect low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR), a cell surface protein involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis of low-density lipoproteins. LDLR recognizes B100, an apoprotein of LDL particles. LDL plays a direct role in the formation of atherosclerosis, which leads to cardiovascular disease. Mutations of the LDLR-encoding gene can cause the autosomal dominant disorder, familial hypercholesterolemia. LDLR antibodies can be used for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry and ELISA kits.
