Results Summary

My protein was efficiently labeled with Cy7 after click chemistry to attach the Cy7 azide. The fluorescence was visible in the Cy7 channel imaging a protein gel using a Biorad Gel Dock.

With all fluorophores, it is light sensitive and can bleach over time.

The Bottom Line

This was a great Cy7-Azide for use in click chemistry to attach the fluorophore to my protein of interest. The Cy7 was brighter than a competitor (as seen in the attached gel).
