When I started in my grad school lab, I was told that the previous graduate student mixed this ladder with a colorimetric ladder. This allowed him to view the molecular weight bands both with the naked eye and when imaging the blot. I thought "that is the next-level-thinking that led to him graduating in 3.5 years". So I followed suit and now I am graduating in 4 years. Correlation is not causation but I'm just saying. Use this mixed with a colorimetric ladder (Kalediscope is my favorite)
