Product Name:

CD279 (PD-1) Antibody from BioLegend

Catalog Number:

367412

We work to identify the role of T cells in autoimmune disease. This antibody has worked well to identify PD-1 expression on T cells. It titrates out as well as antibodies purchases from other companies such as eBioscience. In general it is a good antibody that stains with comparably consistent bright results for PD-1.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Flow Cytometry

Sample

Murine Lymphocytes and Splenocytes

Primary Incubation

Dilute 1:400 for 30 minutes at 4 degrees Celcius

Blocking Agent

FC Block

Secondary Incubation

None

Tertiary Incubation

Detection

BD LSR II or BD FACS Aria II

Results Summary

This antibody stains brightly for a population of PD-1 positive cells. However, depending on your sample the population of PD-1 positive cells can appear as a shoulder population. It can probably be diluted further but it works well for all general flow cytometry applications including for staining after cell stimulations and for use in cell sorting.

Summary

The Good

Bright stain that can be titrated

The Bad

Can be difficulat to titrate depending on application and sample used.

The Bottom Line

It works just as well as other PD-1 antibodies from other companies and can be purchased in large volume. Any optimization issues tend to be with determining a distinct population and in the sample selected to titrate in. It works well to stain for PD-1 when optimized.
