Antioxidant assay kits include essential reagents to measure the abundance or concentration of antioxidants in biological samples. Antioxidants are molecules that inhibit the oxidation of other molecules. In an antioxidant assay, a substrate that can be oxidized is added to the sample to measure antioxidant capacity. Any observed decrease in absorbance is proportional to the antioxidant capacity of the sample. Antioxidant assays are used in a variety of applications, including studying the role of oxidative stress in various diseases and evaluating the efficacy of antioxidant therapies. Antioxidant capacity can also serve as a biomarker for disease progression and treatment efficacy. When choosing an assay kit, consider important specifications such as the assay detection range, recommended sample types, and the components included within the kit. Visit the supplier page for more details.
