Absorbance Microplate Readers

Absorbance Microplate Readers Absorbance microplate readers are spectrophotometers that measure the UV-visible spectral absorbance of samples in multi-well formats. Among other applications, absorbance readers are often used to determine the concentration of analytes within a sample, such as nucleic acids, proteins, and cells. They are also used to measure biochemical reactions, including enzyme assays and colorimetric ELISAs. The most common plate format is 96-well; however, some readers can accommodate plates ranging from 6 to 1536 wells. Some may also have a built-in cuvette slot. Perhaps one of the most important considerations when choosing an absorbance reader is the wavelength range, which can generally fall between 200 to 1000 nm. Browse and compare different readers below across different suppliers. Visit the supplier page or submit a quote for more detailed instrument information.
