Functionally, this protein is a known subunit of the V1 complex of vacuolar(H+)-ATPase (V-ATPase), a multisubunit enzyme composed of a peripheral complex (V1) that hydrolyzes ATP and a membrane integral complex (V0) that translocates protons (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 427 residues, a mass of 48.8 kDa, and is a member of the V-ATPase C subunit protein family. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include ATPase, H+ transporting, lysosomal 42kDa, V1 subunit C2, V-ATPase C2 subunit, vacuolar proton pump subunit C 2, and V-type proton ATPase subunit C 2.
