BACE1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein beta-secretase 1, which is encoded by the BACE1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be important for the proteolytic processing of the amyloid precursor protein (APP). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 501 residues, a mass of 55.8 kDa, and is a member of the Peptidase A1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is notably expressed at high levels in the brain and pancreas. As many as 6 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated, palmitoylated, acetylated and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include BACE, HSPC104, APP beta-secretase, asp 2, aspartyl protease 2, and ASP2.
There are BACE1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 3.12 pg/mL and as high as 250 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
