ABHD5 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein abhydrolase domain containing 5, lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferase, which is encoded by the ABHD5 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in cell differentiation and fatty acid metabolism. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 349 residues, a mass of 39.1 kDa, and is a member of the Peptidase S33 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is found to be widely expressed in various tissues, including lymphocytes, liver, skeletal muscle and brain. The ABHD5 gene has been associated with the disease, Chanarin-Dorfman syndrome. Other alias names for this target include IECN2, NCIE2, 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase ABHD5, abhydrolase domain-containing protein 5, lipid droplet-binding protein CGI-58, and CGI58.
The detection range for different ABHD5 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
