The following inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain 2 ELISA kits are useful research tools for the measurement of inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain 2 in biological samples. In humans this protein is encoded by the ITIH2 gene. This protein is believed to act as a carrier of hyaluronan in serum or as a binding protein between hyaluronan and other matrix protein, including those on cell surfaces in tissues to regulate the localization, synthesis and degradation of hyaluronan which are essential to cells undergoing biological processes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 946 residues, a mass of 106.5 kDa, and is a member of the ITIH protein family. It has been described to be a secreted protein. In addition, it is notably expressed in plasma. In certain instances, it is also post-translationally O-glycosylated, cleaved and phosphorylated. This protein may also be known as ITI-HC2, SHAP, inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain H2, ITI heavy chain H2, inter-alpha (globulin) inhibitor H2, and H2P.
There are inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain 2 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 400 µg/mL.
