TMPRSS2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein transmembrane serine protease 2, which is encoded by the TMPRSS2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in proteolysis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 492 residues, a mass of 53.9 kDa, and is a member of the Peptidase S1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is secreted and is reported to be expressed in several tissues that comprise large populations of epithelial cells with the highest level of transcripts measured in the prostate gland. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally cleaved and glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include transmembrane protease serine 2, epitheliasin, serine protease 10, transmembrane protease, serine 2, and PRSS10.
Some TMPRSS2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15.625 pg/mL and as high as 35 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
