ABCD2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ATP binding cassette subfamily D member 2, which is encoded by the ABCD2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be an aTP-dependent transporter of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) family involved in the transport of very long chain fatty acid (VLCFA)-CoA from the cytosol to the peroxisome lumen. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 740 residues, a mass of 83.2 kDa, and is a member of the ABCD protein family. It is known to be localized in the peroxisomes and is reported to be highly expressed in the brain and heart. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include ALDL1, ALDR, ALDRP, hALDR, ATP-binding cassette, sub-family D (ALD), member 2, and ABC39.
Some ABCD2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 20 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
