FLT1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein fms related receptor tyrosine kinase 1, which is encoded by the FLT1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as a cell-surface receptor for VEGFA, VEGFB and PGF, and plays an essential role in the development of embryonic vasculature, the regulation of angiogenesis, cell survival, cell migration, macrophage function, chemotaxis, and cancer cell invasion. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1338 residues, a mass of 150.8 kDa, and is a member of the Tyr protein kinase protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is notably expressed in normal lung, but also in placenta, liver, kidney, heart and brain tissues. As many as 8 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include VEGFR-1, VEGFR1, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1, fms related tyrosine kinase 1, and FLT.
The detection range for different FLT1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.5 ng/L and as high as 400 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
