DIO3 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein iodothyronine deiodinase 3, which is encoded by the DIO3 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be important for the deiodination of T4 (3,5,3',5'-tetraiodothyronine) into RT3 (3,3',5'-triiodothyronine) and of T3 (3,5,3'-triiodothyronine) into T2 (3,3'-diiodothyronine). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 304 residues, a mass of 33.9 kDa, and is a member of the Iodothyronine deiodinase protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is reported to be expressed in placenta and several fetal tissues. Other alias names for this target include D3, DIOIII, TXDI3, thyroxine 5-deiodinase, deiodinase, iodothyronine type III, and 5DIII.
There are DIO3 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 70 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
