These CDKN1 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of CDKN1 in biological samples. CDKN1 is an alias of the human CDKN1A gene, which encodes the protein, cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor 1A. Notably, CDKN1 is known to play a role in DNA damage pathways, among other functions. The CDKN1A protein is described to be 164 amino acid residues in length and 18.1 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in all adult tissues, with 5-fold lower levels observed in the brain. This protein is known to be ubiquitinated, acetylated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include CAP20 and CIP1.
