CD53 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein CD53 molecule, which is encoded by the CD53 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be required for efficient formation of myofibers in regenerating muscle at the level of cell fusion. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 219 residues, a mass of 24.3 kDa, and is a member of the Tetraspanin (TM4SF) protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated.
