Anti-FKBP1A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FKBP prolyl isomerase 1A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 108 amino acid residues and a mass of 12 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and cytoplasm. A member of the FKBP-type PPIase protein family, FKBP1A is known to be involved with NF-kappaB signaling pathways. Synonyms for this target antigen include FKBP1, FKBP12, PKC12, PKCI2, PPIASE, and FKBP-12. FKBP1A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Over 60 citations in the literature describe the use of FKBP1A antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
