Anti-LIN-28 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The LIN-28 antigen is another term for the human protein lin-28 homolog A, encoded by the LIN28A gene. The protein is reported to be a RNA-binding protein that inhibits processing of pre-let-7 miRNAs and regulates translation of mRNAs that control developmental timing, pluripotency and metabolism. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 209 residues and a mass of 22.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, ER, and cytoplasm and it is reported to be expressed in embryonic stem cells, placenta and testis. The LIN-28 protein is a member of the Lin-28 protein family.
