Anti-CD85j antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CD85j is a known alias name of the protein leukocyte immunoglobulin like receptor B1, encoded by the LILRB1 gene in humans. This 650-amino acid residue protein is a known receptor for class I MHC antigens. It is localized to the cell membrane and is secreted of the cell and features phosphorylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in B cells, monocytes and various dendritic cell (DC) subsets including myeloid, plasmacytoid and tolerogenic DCs. The term ILT-2 is another synonym for CD85j. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for CD85j antibodies.
