Anti-Caspase 9 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CASP9 in humans. The Caspase 9 protein has an expected mass of 46.3 kDa, but there are 4 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as APAF-3, APAF3, ICE-LAP6, MCH6, ICE-like apoptotic protease 6, and apoptotic protease MCH-6. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
