Anti-Acyl-CoA dehydrogenase very long chain antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ACADVL in humans. The gene may also be known as VLCAD, ACAD6, LCACD, very long-chain specific acyl-CoA dehydrogenase, mitochondrial, and acyl-Coenzyme A dehydrogenase, very long chain. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 70.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
