Anti-LC17 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LC17 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MYL6 gene, which encodes myosin light chain 6. This protein is known to function in skeletal muscle tissue development, among other biological roles. The human version of LC17 has a canonical amino acid length of 151 residues and a protein mass of 16.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include ESMLC and LC17-GI. Western Blot is the most common application for the LC17 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
