Anti-HER4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HER4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ERBB4 gene, which encodes erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 4. This protein is known to function in cell migration, among other biological roles. The human version of HER4 has a canonical amino acid length of 1308 residues and a protein mass of 146.8 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, vagina, and adipose tissue. This target antigen may also be known as ALS19. Western Blot is the most common application for the HER4 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
