Anti-5-HT2A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target 5-HT2A is a known alias name of the protein 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 2A, encoded by the HTR2A gene in humans. This 471-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in pathways of aging and chemical synaptic transmission, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the brain cortex. The term HTR2 is another synonym for 5-HT2A. Some 5-HT2A antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Indicated applications for the antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
