Anti-GCN2 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene EIF2AK4, or 'eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 alpha kinase 4' in humans. The 1649-amino acid protein is a member of the Protein kinase superfamily, Ser/Thr protein kinase family, GCN2 subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be cytoplasmic.
