Anti-BMI1 proto-oncogene, polycomb ring finger antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene BMI1 in humans. The gene may also be known as FLVI2/BMI1, PCGF4, RNF51, flvi-2/bmi-1, polycomb complex protein BMI-1, and B lymphoma Mo-MLV insertion region 1 homolog. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 36.9 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
