Anti-PRKD3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protein kinase D3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 890 amino acid residues and a mass of 100.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, PRKD3 is known to be involved with protein phosphorylation and the metabolism of lipids. Synonyms for this target antigen include PKC-NU, PKD3, PRKCN, nPKC-NU, serine/threonine-protein kinase D3, and EPK2. PRKD3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PRKD3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
