Anti-RPTOR independent companion of MTOR complex 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene RICTOR in humans. The gene may also be known as PIA, rapamycin-insensitive companion of mTOR, AVO3, hAVO3, AVO3 homolog, and TORC2-specific protein AVO3. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 192.2 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
