Anti-SYT15 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein synaptotagmin 15. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 421 amino acid residues and a mass of 47.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Synaptotagmin protein family, SYT15 is suspected to be involved in the trafficking and exocytosis of secretory vesicles in non-neuronal tissues. Synonyms for this target antigen include synaptotagmin XV, synaptotagmin XV-a, and chr10 synaptotagmin. SYT15 gene orthologs have been reported in the rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the SYT15 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
