Anti-Eg5 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene KIF11, or 'kinesin family member 11' in humans. The 1056-amino acid protein is a member of the TRAFAC class myosin-kinesin ATPase superfamily, Kinesin family, BimC subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be cytoplasmic.
