Anti-MUC24 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MUC24 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CD164 gene, which encodes CD164 molecule. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion and immune response pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of MUC24 has a canonical amino acid length of 197 residues and a protein mass of 20.9 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the lysosomes, cell membrane, and is secreted of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include DFNA66, MGC-24, and MGC-24v.
