Anti-FKHR antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FKHR is a known alias name of the protein forkhead box O1, encoded by the FOXO1 gene in humans. This 655-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a transcription factor that is the main target of insulin signaling and regulates metabolic homeostasis in response to oxidative stress. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated, acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for FKHR include FKH1 and FKH1. Western Blot is the most common application for the FKHR antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
