Anti-CD223 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene LAG3, or 'lymphocyte activating 3' in humans. The 525-amino acid protein is a member of the LAG3 family. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated and secreted. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
