Anti-CD130 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CD130 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IL6ST gene, which encodes interleukin 6 cytokine family signal transducer. This protein is known to function in cytokine-mediated signaling pathways and the regulation of apoptosis, among other biological roles. The human version of CD130 has a canonical amino acid length of 918 residues and a protein mass of 103.5 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and is secreted of cells. CD130 is a member of the Type I cytokine receptor protein family. A number of CD130 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
