Anti-BAF170 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BAF170 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SMARCC2 gene, which encodes SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily c member 2. This protein is known to function in chromatin remodeling and the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of BAF170 has a canonical amino acid length of 1214 residues and a protein mass of 132.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. BAF170 is a member of the SMARCC protein family. These BAF170 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
