Anti-IL-1 alpha antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The IL-1 alpha antigen is another term for the human protein interleukin 1 alpha, encoded by the IL1A gene. The protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 271 residues and a mass of 30.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, cytoplasm, and is secreted. The IL-1 alpha protein is a member of the IL-1 protein family. Other alias names for IL-1 alpha include IL1. Western Blot is the most common application for the IL-1 alpha antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
