Anti-Myosin heavy chain 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MYH1 in humans. The gene may also be known as MyHC-2x, myosin, heavy chain 1, skeletal muscle, adult, HEL71, MYHSA1, MYHa, MyHC-2X/D, and myosin-1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 223.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, yeast, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
