Anti-NKAP antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein NFKB activating protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 415 amino acid residues and a mass of 47.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the NKAP protein family, NKAP is known to act as a transcriptional repressor. The NKAP gene has been associated with the disease, Intellectual developmental disorder. Synonyms for this target antigen include NF-kappa-B-activating protein and NF-kappaB activating protein. NKAP gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of NKAP antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
