Anti-Apolipoprotein C1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene APOC1 in humans. The gene may also be known as Apolipoprotein C-I, apo-CIB, ApoC-I, and Apo-CI. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 9.3 kilodaltons in mass. The APOC1 marker can be used to identify Early Erythroid Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
