Anti-Doublecortin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene DCX in humans. The doublecortin protein has an expected mass of 40.6 kDa, but there are 2 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as DBCN, DC, LISX, SCLH, neuronal migration protein doublecortin, and doublecortex. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
