Anti-ECGF1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ECGF1 is a known alias name of the protein thymidine phosphorylase, encoded by the TYMP gene in humans. This 482-amino acid residue protein is suspected to have a role in maintaining the integrity of the blood vessels. It is reported to be expressed in the skin, lymph node, lung, bone marrow, and appendix.
